Vanessa Lemonides

Vanessa Lemonides has been a professional performer since the ripe old age of six. As a child she appeared weekly on a televised musical variety show, did live concerts and musical theater, and eventually paid her way through Princeton with loads of commercials, soap operas, after-school specials and voice overs.

After graduation and a brief stint teaching in Singapore, Vanessa made her way back to NYC and resumed her professional acting career. She appeared Off-Broadway, in leading roles at many regional theaters and on a national tour. She then had two beautiful daughters, decided to stay in town and focused her creative attention on voice overs.

She has voiced national TV and radio commercials, cartoons, animated films, audiobooks, promos, corporate narrations and is even the voice of Walt Disney World’s Fun Bus and Skyliner. She has extensive experience as a looper and has worked on hundreds of movies and TV shows. She’s known for her accents, animal sounds and voice matching abilities.

Vanessa is available to work with students of all ages and levels in studio at Hyperbolic Audio or remotely via FaceTime, Skype or just over the phone. She especially loves working with kids. Email her at vanessa@shutupandtalk.com to schedule your first coaching session.

Vanessa is truly one of the best artistic coaches I've ever had in any medium. She not only walked me through how to build my home studio from scratch on MY budget, but she also made equipment recommendations for when I'm ready to upgrade. Always incredibly responsive over email, she answered all my questions about unions, representation, and what spots would be appropriate for me to go for within 24 hours. Our process of putting together my demo was extremely collaborative and she tailored the material to showcase every color of my voice. I couldn't be happier with it! I'm currently freelancing with several VO agencies and have booked a handful of non-union podcast commercials. For someone who is only pursuing VO part-time, I am really proud of how far I've come. I credit Vanessa completely with setting me up for all the success I've had so far. Thank you!
